My wardrobe news....

My interest and passion in life is clothes and shopping. I´m so lucky that I also have the oppotunity to work with fashion. Almost every day I visit the stores to keep up with news. I think it´s fun and it gives me pleasure to be among the first ones to wear the garment or accessorie. When "the mass" is buying the same items I rather don´t use it anymore and you can always sell it on Tradera. Of course I fall for some of the trends each season, but I think it´s important to not copy and to spice up your outfit with your own touch to make it more personal. Here are some news in my wardrobe this week.
Lovely cardigan in mohair from H&M 399 SEK
Black washed out jeans from JC 399 SEK
Grey melange oversize top from H&M 199 SEK
Ring from Gina Tricot 119 SEK

Three of my favourite news in stores now

"Cardia" 5 000 SEK
These boots in black suede are two boots in one from Whyred.
3 500 SEK
2 000 SEK

Recently the brand Hope released a new collection in Wax that is called Hope Wax Wear. It includes outerwear and accessories in waxed cotton and you will find both new styles and also old favourites like the bag on above picture. I really like the jacket in Navy that is great for Spring and will also be modern for next Autumn so it´s a good investment.

The Lundqvist Brothers

Brothers Christmas campaign is now running and it is the famous hockey brothers Henrik and Joel Lundqvist that will be fronting this campaign that is supposed to be an insight of their ordinary weekdays. If you didn´t already know Henrik Lundqvist was appointed to "Best dressed man 2009" by King magazine and he was also voted as "Most good looking man 2009" by American People magazine. I think the pictures are very good as they are taken in suitable environments that feels genuine for them like the pictures in the dressing room, at the hotel and on their way out for party. Brothers collection includes both casual and dressed clothes and for this season the look is more casual but still well-dressed. I believe the quality is also very high for reasonable prices.
If you´re looking for an outfit for New Year´s Eve I can recommend the classic smoking that Brothers have made in cooperation with King´s editor in chief Per Nilsson. The blazer is in velvet with satin on lapel and pocket flaps and the trousers are classic with nice details that match the blazer. Combine this with a white smoking shirt and a bow tie and you´ll be the most good looking at the party. If you think black and white will be to boring match it with a colourful bow tie or socks.

Interior thoughts...

As my interest for fashion is huge it may not be farfetched that I´m also interested in another lifestyle item - interior. I really like the Manhattan design by Josef Frank and just the other day I bought the pillows. I would really like something else in the same design to match the pillows but I don't want to "overmatch". Maybe the Manhattan tiles or the table lamp. By the way, did you know that Svenskt Tenn recently launched two new patterns of Josef Frank? The patterns are named "Ceylon" and "Aramal" and they were painted in the 1940´s. He made totally 160 different patterns that Riksarkivet in Stockholm are taking care of now and you can find about 40 of them at Svenskt Tenn.
My new pillows in my lovely chair. It´s quite a fun story about this chair. It´s a rocking chair from my aunt's attic (actually bought at IKEA in the 60's) that my sister wanted to redo in wool fabric so my dad looked for a cheap farmer that he could buy wool from and also someone that could change the chair fabric. The result turned out this good and it reminds me of the Swedese chair Lamino. I can assure you that they were nice to the cheap :-).
"Ceylon"
"Aramal" is named after a beach in Spain. I´m not that into none of these patterns and I think that I will hold on to the Manhattan design. At least for a while..
This is a solution for my favourite bags. For me they are nicer than a painting. At top from the left; Botkier, Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs and Chloé.
I also want to do something with my favourite shoes and I think it would look nice to place them at a shelf like this. Nice to mix the red colour with black shoes. This one is from Nordiska Galleriet.

I want to recommend the web site http://www.lauritz.com/Default.aspx?sflang=sv&LanguageId=3 where you can bid on very nice antique furnitures. There are also many design furnitures that hopefully can be a bargain.

Jimmy Choo at Tradera

Yesterday it was finally time for Jimmy Choo´s collection at H&M to be launched. It was the longest line ever and some people had stood in the line since Friday night. H&M also launched Jimmy Choo at their webshop but there were too much people on the site so it was difficult to get access and buy the popular bags and shoes. Too bad as it is a smooth way to shop. The most popular items at the men´s department were the black suit and these grey suede boots.
I really like this nice weekend bag for men in grey suede.
As they had a new line system it wasn´t that chaotic as it usually is when they have cooperations with famous designers.

If you didn´t get that Jimmy Choo bag or high heels that you have waited for I recommend you to visit http://www.tradera.com/search/result.aspx?search=jimmy+choo&search_category=-1&x=0&y=0 where you hopefully can find it or visit the store again as there are many things that are still not sold out. Good Luck!

Have you found your favourite Winter jacket yet?

Every year I found it hard to find a Winter jacket that keeps you warm and looks nice. Now I have had my black Woolrich jacket for some years and I´m looking for a new favourite jacket. I can really recommend jackets from Woolrich. They have very good quality and you can wear it in almost every occation without the feeling you look like a Michelin man which I sometimes do when I wear a down jacket. I have found some Winter jackets both for her and him that I think are nice and you can find them in stores right now.
Filippa K 3 500 SEK
Gerry unisex jacket 3 995 SEK. You find it at NK Street in Stockholm and at Nautiska Magasinet in Göteborg. The brand has an interesting history that you can read on http://www.gerry.net/history/gerry-starts
Filippa K 3 500 SEK
This jacket is from Woolrich and cost around 6 000 SEK. My jacket is quite similar to this one and I love the hood, especially when it snows.

Men´s boots

Boots are popular shoe wear during Fall and Winter and I think there are some brands that have really nice ones for men. The price is quite expensive for some of them but then you´ll get very high quality and boots that you can use for many years as the design is timeless and get nicer year after year. Here are some boots that I think are very nice.

Boots from Red Wing Shoes that cost around 3 000 SEK. I took this picture when I was in Berlin in October. My friend wanted to buy these but they were sold out in his size. Too bad as they are so nice. I hope he´ll find them in some other store or at their web site.

Rokin makes men´s shoes with a vintage touch and the boots have the perfect worn-out feeling that makes them just perfect from the beginning and you don´t have to walk in them for months. Rokin produces in Europe and these wonderful boots only cost 1 699 SEK.

The Australian brand R.M. Williams is very popular for their timeless design and high quality boots. They have produced hand made boots since the 1930´s. In Sweden these boots in Chelsea style cost 3 499 SEK, but you can buy them for only 1 900 SEK + freight if you order them directly from Australia on this site: http://www.bootsonline.com.au/

These boots are from ACNE. I like them more in Black but I can´t find any picture of them :-( Maybe they are sold out on their web shop. I know that they still have them on NK and the price is 2 995 SEK.

Wolverine is a brand with hand made boots from USA. Since the brand started 1883 in Rockford, Michigan, they have produced workman boots with very high quality. This year Wolverine celebrates 125-years and due to this they have produced some boots with their origin design. These boots are named 1000-Mile Boot and cost 3 499 SEK.

The shoes that I´m dreaming of right now are these Pistol Low from ACNE in cooperation with Rizzo. The price is 2 995 SEK.

Fashion auction at Bukowski´s

15th December at 18pm Bukowski´s in Berzelli Park will have an auction with fashion classics from famous brands as Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, Hermès and Chanel. This is a cooperation with the second hand store Myrornas. Both of them believes in reuse clothes and accessories and I think this a great idea as there is a demand for timeless fashion classics. Between 4th-13th December you can see and also try the clothes and accessories at Lilla Bukowski´s Monday-Friday 11-18pm and Saturday-Sunday 11-17pm. I´ll be there and hope that I find this Chanel bag.

Chanel 2.55 is named by the date Coco Chanel launched this bag, in February 1955 and it is still one of the most famous bags. The price for a new one in medium size is 15 000 SEK.

Hermès Birkin bag is named after the British-born actress and singer Jane Birkin. The price is from 45 000 SEK and depends on fabric and size. You have to sign up and wait for it for 1-5 years. I think the price will be too much for me even at the auction but you can always dream about it.

Hermès Kelly bag is named after the famous actress and princess of Monaco, Grace Kelly. Same price as Birkin bag and quite similar that one as well.

See you there!
